HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS A SERVICE REQUEST?

Your consultation request will be reviewed within approximately two (2) weeks.

Please note that you must protect your rights until you have received a decision on whether or not Juripop will take over your case.

Among other things, you must respond to any court application, if any, and take all necessary means to avoid losing your rights by the passage of time (statute). For example, if you have received a decision from a court or administrative tribunal and you disagree, you must file your challenge within the time limit mentioned.

During your meeting, the lawyer will evaluate the fees likely to be incurred in your file and will ask you for an advance in trust before commencing their mandate.

Other costs may be incurred depending on the nature and progression of your case. These may include, among others, actual costs such as travel or photocopying costs, or fees required by law, such as bailiff fees or court stamps.

The first 60 minutes of professional services** are non-billable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable.

** By professional services, we mean everything the lawyer could do that is related to your file. For example, if you meet, if you speak on the phone, if there is an exchange of emails between you or anyone related to your file, reading the documents related to your file, writing a legal document.

What is the purpose of the file opening fees ?

The file opening fees include the review of your request, the consultation of your records at court (plumitif), the review of the conflict of interests, the creation of your client file, the administration behind your first appointment with the lawyer, etc.

Why does Juripop charge administrative fees?

Those fees allow us to offer you efficient legal and professional services.

The administrative fees are only charged if we open a file after your first appointment with the lawyer.

The administrative fees include the cost of management and administration for the services offered by Juripop. They cover a lot of expenses related to the operational management such as record keeping, invoicing, office expenses, software tools and other administrative needs.

WHAT ARE THE GROUNDS FOR REFUSING A REQUEST FOR SERVICES?

Juripop may refuse service requests for the following reasons:

  • You are eligible for legal aid;
  • Your income is too high;
  • Avocats Juripop would be in a conflict of interest;
  • The time for action is too short;
  • The resources of Avocats Juripop are inadequate;
  • The request is frivolous, unfounded, or disproportionate;
  • The area of law covered by the application is not covered.

Juripop can refuse a request without having to justify itself.

We may also ask you for additional information and documents to study your file, particularly concerning your financial situation.
