Our mission

To ensure access to justice in order to guarantee the respect, autonomy, and dignity of individuals and to contribute to the achievement of a just, egalitarian and inclusive society.

In addition to our legal information and education projects and our services to victims and survivors of violence, we carry out our mission by offering affordable legal services to people who are ineligible for legal aid, but whose financial situation does not allow them to afford the services of a lawyer in private practice.

These services receive no public or institutional funding: the support of the legal and business communities is what allows us to renew these essential services year after year.

Contributing to our annual fundraising event gives us the means to provide thousands of hours of affordable legal services to people in financial difficulty.

Our impact

Last year’s fundraising evening raised $334,121.

For Juripop, that means:

• 2,029 hours of free legal services for the community OR
• 3,341 hours at a reduced rate ($65/hour) OR
• the equivalent of about 3.6 lawyer salaries.
