Our Projects

The Artists‘ Foundation

The Artists’ Foundation offers professional artists and cultural workers up to 4 hours of free legal services with our team of lawyers in several fields of law.

About The Project

This project is made possible by the Artists’ Foundation through financial support from the Conseil des arts et des lettres of Quebec.

Please note that legal services offered by the Artists’ Foundation are temporarily suspended.

If you are financially eligible, we invite you to apply for affordable legal services in order to benefit from our services.

How it works

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be a professional artist or a cultural worker
  • To have been active and have had contracts in the arts and culture sector during the last three years;
  • Be 18 years old or older.

*Professional artists are individuals committed to devoting their time to their art and live primarily from their work as artists if their financial situation allows it.

Juripop’s lawyers can answer questions in civil law (housing, contracts, and most everyday legal needs), business and family law (separation, child custody, alimony, etc.), and some questions in labour law.

At this time, lawyers do not provide services in medical law, immigration law, tax law, youth law, criminal and penal law.

Please note that the 4 hours of free legal services must be used for the duration of the project with the Artists’ Foundation.
