UPCOMING TRANSITION AT JURIPOP’S EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT
SOPHIE GAGNON TO LEAVE THE ORGANIZATION ON OCTOBER 3RD
After eight years as executive director, Sophie Gagnon has decided that it is time to pass the torch at the head of Juripop. Under her leadership, Juripop has experienced significant growth, and the board of directors wishes to highlight her unwavering commitment and exceptional contribution to access to justice in Quebec.
Since Sophie Gagnon’s arrival in 2017, Juripop has successfully positioned itself as an established advocate for rights, particularly in legislative reforms aimed at better protecting victims and survivors. The organization has also become indispensable in explaining and making accessible current events and legal concepts related to its mission. Juripop has grown from 10 to 40 employees, and its budget and services have increased significantly thanks to an expanded network of partners.
Sophie Gagnon will leave Juripop on October 3rd. She will then continue her commitment to another social mission organization, which will be announced at a later date. However, to facilitate the transition to the next executive director, she will act as a special advisor to Juripop in the coming months.
The transition is already underway at Juripop, and the recruitment process has begun.
