JURIPOP RECEIVES A DONATION FROM THE CANADIAN FOUNDATION OF THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF TRIAL LAWYERS

Juripop is proud to announce a recognition from the Canadian Foundation of the American College of Trial Lawyers. The Foundation will be supporting two emblematic projects of Juripop, the CSQ-Juripop Moot Court Competition and affordable legal services with a donation of $15,000.

TWO PROJECTS TARGETED BY THIS RECOGNITION

The donation will support Juripop’s affordable legal services, which will allow the organization to offer nearly 200 hours of low-cost legal services. These services will benefit those who are most impacted by inflation and the rising cost of living, but who could otherwise not afford to defend their rights.

The donation will also be used to increase the accessibility of the CSQ-Juripop Moot Court Competition. This project, one of Juripop’s first initiatives, introduces high school and CEGEP students to the justice system and the law.  The Foundation’s support will allow Juripop to respond to the project’s increasing popularity while encouraging the participation of students from all over Quebec. More particularly, these funds will cover the travel expenses of students so that they can participate in person in the provincial final at the Quebec Court of Appeal in Montreal.
