New Executive Director at Juripop

Juripop’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Me Luc Bélanger as Executive Director of the organization. Me Bélanger has about twenty years of experience as a lawyer, administrative judge, and manager, and shares Juripop’s mission of access to justice for all with genuine conviction.

Until recently, Luc Bélanger handled cases similar to those at Juripop, particularly in the context of sexual violence, as Senior Director of Human Rights in a university setting. He has held various positions related to access to justice and complaint handling. Notably, he served as Chair of the Council of Chairpersons of Federal Administrative Tribunals.

The new Executive Director will be able to count on the support of nearly 40 people committed to advancing Juripop’s mission, which each year supports close to 700 individuals and organizations in cases related to sexual violence, domestic violence, housing law, workplace and cultural harassment, as well as in supporting the work of social-purpose nonprofits.

Luc Bélanger succeeds Me Sophie Gagnon, who left Juripop in the fall after spending 8 years leading the organization.
